This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on RecallPsych. We only use what is strictly necessary to run the website and provide the service you ask for. We don't use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so we don't ask for your consent to them.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
pbb.sid | Keeps you signed in to your account and keeps your session secure. Without it, you couldn't log in or use the question bank. | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
Information stored in your browser
| Name | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
rp.paper | Remembers whether you last chose Paper A or Paper B, so the site opens on the same paper next time. | Until you clear your browser's storage |
rp.order | Remembers whether you last chose random or topic order for practice questions, so it's pre-selected next time. | Until you clear your browser's storage |
rp.theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It's only saved if you use the light/dark button; otherwise the site follows your device's setting. | Until you clear your browser's storage |
recallpsych-v… (service worker cache) | A copy of the site's own files (its styles, script, icons and "You're offline" page), so the site can be installed on your home screen like an app and can show a helpful page when you have no internet connection. It never stores your answers, account details or payments. | Until the site is updated or you clear your browser's storage |
Payments
When you buy a subscription, you are taken to a secure checkout page run by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe may set its own cookies on its pages, for example to prevent fraud and keep payments secure. These are controlled by Stripe and described in Stripe's cookie information.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won't be able to log in to your account.
Changes and contact
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page, and ask for your consent first if any new cookie isn't strictly necessary. Questions? Contact support@recallpsych.com.
